Mike has been an active musician in southern/central Wisconsin since the mid-1980's, performing on tuba, trombone, guitar, string bass, and bass guitar in pop/rock/country/polka/old-tyme bands, big band and combo jazz, pit orchestras, Dixieland, New Orleans-style brass bands, orchestras, and concert bands.
In addition to performing on his own, Mike also helps run two (at the moment) gigging music groups: Consensus (a rock/country/blues/pop party band) and the Voodoo Honey Brass Band, a New Orleans-style brass band. See the "MORE..." tab at the top of the page for more info on each group.

We specialize in band and orchestra instrument adjustment, repair, and cleaning at a more than competitive price structure. Our goal is to have a completely playable instrument in your/your students' hands without blowing your entire budget, and setting up preventative maintenance/cleaning to extend the life of all your instruments.
A special focus is working with schools with limited budgets, to affordably get their existing instruments up to good playing standards even after years of not being able to afford regular service/cleaning.
We also have a rotating selection of "reconditioned" instruments for student purchase - that actually play well - at usually very low prices. Contact us for current availability.

31+ years in public school music education and about 10 more teaching privately/private schools. 35+ years working with and teaching adult/student community members in bands, orchestras, and musical theatre pits.
Mike will work with your students individually for lessons, in sectionals, or in a clinic setting for your ensembles.
